Aaah. How refreshing it was to design and plan Suzanne + Michael's Barn wedding in Montgomery County, MD. Suzanne, quite the comedian, insisted on classy, clean barn --and threatened my Eggos if I made it look like "country kitchen". Hehe.
She had her invitations hand calligraphed, and had me pick up fresh Hydrangea from her mother's garden for the bouquets. I loved every minute of it. As a suprise, I took a picture of her as a child, and a photo of her mom, and put them in a locket on her bouquet. She deserved the little extra stuff.
Erika Layne and I took HOURS in the hot sun trying to make those darn doily lanterns you will see over the WetBar. (Don't let ANYONE tell you they are easy!) We also found that cutie-pie vanity at the thrift store and flipped it into a green piece of heaven. It was a work of love.
Suzanne: One more Baltimore Bomb Pie, and we are even, woman. hehe! Oh!----And a col' pop. (inside joke.)
Allow me to go on a painless tangent about how awesome her photographer, Katie Stoops is. Dude. She shoots in ALL film and she does an amazing job of being everywhere at once. Plus she was adorable. These photos really captured the day.

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful copuple. Great decor. Country- but not shabby chic overdone, new and fresh and very elegant and modern. Love that green dresser you make and the pinwheel things on the ice cream cart. Very print worthy! Another good one for team DIYva!
