Jersey Fever!

You have to be living in a cave (or the Jersey shore boardwalk) to not take note of the ultra-revealing , skin tight, belly baring wardrobe that the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore proudly flaunts. With as much attention and “fame” as they have received since the show first aired, it comes as so surprise that both Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino have their own clothing lines in the works. A quick look at some of JWOW’s designs shows…well…that she and her best friends would definitely wear them to…you guessed it…the club. Similarly, The Situation’s recently launched clothing line is undoubtedly an expression of himself (and his six pack). In fact, their flashy (and slightly tacky) marciante bras, barely there shirts worn as dresses, and ripped jeans (with more rips than jean) has defined the cast so well, that they were nearly unrecognizable in their recent “make-over” in Vogue. It was especially shocking to see J-Wow in a GORGEOUS couture wedding gown; illustrating that the dress really does make the bride!!! However, with as much flack as they do receive for their wardrobe choices, there is always a silver lining, and the girls of Jersey Shore do a few things right! To start off, they have so much confidence, they could literally make a brown paper bag look fierce (and let’s face it, some of their outfits are not much bigger than that). JWoww is not afraid to play with color and rocks her knee high boots which are SO in this fall. When Snooki tries, she can, surprisingly, look rather pulled together. Being a little curvier than her fellow cast mates, she exemplifies that you don’t have to be size 0 to look fab. Last but not least, Sammi seems to always perfect the simple but sexy look. At the end of the day, the Jersey Shore gals are no style icons or role models, but we can all add a little bit of their “jerseyliciousness” to our wardrobes.
