Washington Bridal Showcase 09.11.2011

DIYva Designs joined P. Lawrence Bridal yesterday at the Washington Bridal Showcase and revealed our new endeavor! P. Lawrence Bridal has now become a full service Bridal Salon offering wedding planning, design and custom stationery through DIYva Designs. This new relationship will also be celebrated at our Ice Cream Social next Thursday! Register here

The showcase was a ton of fun with some great exhibitors and of course loads and loads of recently engaged brides- to-be! We had a blast working with P. Lawrence and meeting new creatives and vendors in the industry!

Here is a picture of some of the florals in our booth created by Sugar of DIYva Designs that we are now offering to all of our clients! Aren't they stunning?!

Free For All Cupcakes!!

Just in case you weren't aware, DIYva Designs took part in this year's Washington Bridal Showcase on Sunday, January 16th. In preparation for the show, we decided to design our booth the DIYva way...with a dessert bar of course! If you know anything about us, you know we have ridiculous sweet tooths. Me, when it comes to candy candy, and Sugar with, well, just about anything sweet!

Although we did not have much time to prepare for the show, we knew we wanted to include a dessert display that showcased miniature cupcakes. Usually, we would do the baking ourselves, but because of the time crunch, we decided to outsource, and were extremely glad we did!!

After some research, I found a company in the DMV area that provided custom cupcakes, at a great price! Free For all Cupcakes, run by sisters Jeanny and Janice, "was founded on the belief that everyone has the right to savor a good cupcake, regardless of dietary preference or restriction. " They bake and sell delicious cupcakes of all kinds, including nut free, organic and gluten free versions! I contacted Free For All and explained to them our situation and they were able to make us 200 tasty mini cupcakes in turquoise for a great price!!

Thank you Jeanny and Janice for baking our yummy cupcakes in such a short amount of time! We will definitely be referring you to clients who need cupcakes and using your services for future events!
