5 Wedding Apps

Wedding season has began in full force, so that means that we at Taylor + Hov have become super-busy...which is a great thing. However, it has made the blog posts sporadic. But have no fear, we have some new content under our belts that we will be posting soon and have decided to expand our horizons and also provide event planning and design content outside of weddings, since we produce more than just weddings. This also gives our non-marrying readers a chance to get inspiration too!

Without much ado...on to this post: For the tech-savvy bride, having access to a wedding app can save time, money and energy. With busy schedules and wedding deadlines to meet, it is nice to do some wedding planning on-the-go.  Here's a list of five apps to get you on your way to planning bliss.

1.  POSTABLE

One of the hardest parts of planning a wedding is making the guest list, but once you deduce the list down to a sizable amount of family and friends, the next step is for them to actually receive the invitation. Postable  creates an on-line address book where guest can fill out their information and the info can be exported to other email platforms. If you want a one-stop shop, you can pick out your invitations from their extensive design collection and type out the details.  Once you are done, they will hand mail the invitations for you.


2.  FUN WEDDING

If you are having a difficult time choosing a first dance song or a good playlist for the reception, then this app, Fun Wedding is for you.  This app compiles a list of top requested wedding songs in decades or popular songs for a certain dances (i.e. Father/Daughter dance). Have fun reminiscing about where you were when you first heard a particular song.


3.  THE KNOT WEDDING DRESS LOOKBOOK

The Knot wedding dress style app will give you access to designer collections at your fingertips, so you can pin point your style, without the hassle of ripping pages out of magazines.  It also can locate which local bridal salon carries that style, so you don't have to go through the hassle of tracking down the dress. You already have enough on your mind.


4. APPY COUPLE

Not only does Appy Couple give you a space to put all your wedding details, but it allows you to create your own app and website.  Once your content is created, you can publish on other social media sites which allows you to create all the details one time.


5. WEDDING SCAN

This Wedding Scan app allows you to scan any item in any store with a barcode to an organized save file for your registry. You are not bounded by getting most of your items in one store or relying on online item stock to build your registry. This app gives you the liberty to compile a cohesive registry.
